Rebecca Lashbrook
Rebecca Lashbrook
Rebecca Lashbrook, a native Tennessean, is the daughter of two lifetime government servants. Her father, a decorated Air Force veteran, passed away when she was only five years old. She and her single mother learned the importance of self-reliance and family, above all else. After graduation, Rebecca began her travels as an Army wife, living in such “exotic” places as Fairbanks, Alaska, to Watertown, New York. Rebecca and her husband returned to Middle Tennessee when her husband was assigned to the Nashville Recruiting Battalion for the United States Army, where she received a degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 2000.

Soon after, she and her husband were blessed with two amazing children. With a new focus on her family, Rebecca left the corporate arena and began working closer to home in the legal communities of Rutherford and Cannon County, primarily in the areas of family and criminal law. Rebecca continued her service to the community with a focus on her children’s activities, volunteering in a multitude of arenas. Rebecca believes that giving back to the community and helping the community from the grass roots is essential and must be a priority for everyone.

Once both children entered school, she returned to her educational pursuits at Nashville School of Law. Balancing her commitments to her family, the community and her education, Rebecca was given the opportunity to work as the Law Clerk for the Juvenile Court of Rutherford County for over three years. This work experience was invaluable in gaining first-hand knowledge of the consideration of the judiciary in a variety of cases ranging from criminal, paternity, custody, dependency and neglect, to termination of parental rights. Not one to let grass grow under her feet, Rebecca sought and received certification from the Supreme Court of Tennessee as a Rule 31 Mediator in domestic law. She has also received training as a Guardian ad Litem to serve the interests of children who have been subjected to abuse or neglect.

This dedication to family and the community, coupled with her strong work ethic gained from a respect for her selfless mother, are the cornerstones of Rebecca’s practice of law. Each day, she begins with a prayer for those people she holds most dear and for a focused dedication on behalf of her clients.

“Thank you for your kindness and excellent counsel yesterday afternoon. My sister, Bobbi, and I really appreciate the time you spent with us answering our questions and agreeing to help me through this challenging time and difficult, sad process.”

~ Brenda, Divorce Client

“Thank you for everything. I do appreciate you so much.”

~ Custody Client

“I walked into the firm on a Friday with an emergency custody situation. I was greeted by Mrs. Rebecca Lashbrook and we went over the details of my case. After speaking to her, I retained her and she acted immediately. Without hesitation Mrs. Lashbrook filed the emergency petitions for custody, and I was granted temporary custody of my daughters while we were able to figure things out.

Unfortunately, this was not the last time we would have to file an emergency petition for custody. We had to do it three more times over the course of a year.

It is evident Rebecca previously worked in the courts prior to practicing law. Her knowledge of the legal system from top to bottom was invaluable. She was able to keep me informed of the process the entire time.

Although my case was very complex, she was able to get the desired results to ensure my daughters’ best interests were met.

Rebecca is attentive, knowledgeable, and compassionate about her client’s needs. She was able to keep me calm in an overwhelming situtaion and handled my case with confidence.

I can’t say enough about her professionalism, and I will definitely use her again if needed.”

~ Jeremy, Custody Client

“I was recently represented by Ms Lashbrook in a case. She saw through the emotional innuendo and focused on the facts. She negotiated a settlement that all parties could agree with. I highly recommend her.”
